# Export and account closure

> Download your information, understand the scope and close the right account.

In Settings, open **Your data and account**. Keep independent copies of important information while the service is available; an outage cannot create a new export.

## Choose the right export

A company owner can export shared company records and their history. Private notes belonging to colleagues are excluded. Your personal export contains your own private records in companies you still belong to.

Downloads are JSON snapshots with access that expires after one hour. The web download attempts to discard its temporary snapshot; otherwise expired snapshots are removed on the next export or during operator maintenance. Original transcripts, invitations, credentials and external-provider copies are excluded. Exports above 20 MiB or requests outside this scope require support assistance with verified authority. Self-service export does not replace statutory access, portability or erasure rights.

## Before closure

Download what you need and verify the selected company or personal scope. Company closure permanently removes that company’s live records, histories, memberships and private data for its members. Personal account closure removes your account, memberships and private data; shared records held by other companies may remain. Close owned companies before closing your personal account.

Closure does not erase files already downloaded or copies received by connected AI providers. Backup copies expire separately; erasures and revoked access must be reconciled before a recovered service reopens.
